Bio & Social Media
Formally trained in Fine Art and Design through York University, Sean’s eye for detail and composition led to his hiring as visual merchandiser for Gap, International, and to a professional development opportunity as a prop’s artist with the Canadian Opera Company. Sean’s career continued to rise when he joined the Design department of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, quickly advancing to the position of Senior Design Assistant focusing on set/props and wardrobe. After several seasons and an invitation to develop an arts training collective in El Salvador on behalf of the Festival, Sean returned home to expand his portfolio and love of storytelling and design through other media.
Teaming up with Judy Inc., Sean began to focus on building a loyal client base as a freelance stylist in photography, exhibition and motion/film. Combining resourcefulness with an eye for contemporary and historical style, Sean continues to advance in both fields bringing a unique eye and creative flare to his work, building his reputation as a sought-after artist.
He has been recognized with multiple awards for his Designs, including Laureate of the Virginia and Myrtle Cooper Award in Wardobe Design (2020), and several Robert Merritt Awards for Outstanding Design, (TNS). He has been commissioned as a creative designer/consultant for several organizations and campaigns including World PRIDE Toronto (2014), CAMH and the WSIB.
