From beginnings in Fashion Marketing, to an energetic and active member of the Montreal Fashion Scene – David Fontaine-Gingras has paved and polished his craft as a fashion stylist alongside his heavily-research based and archival practice.
As an in-house ready-to-wear fashion stylist at SSENSE, David has worked to develop an extensive knowledge and understanding in trend-forecasting within contemporary fashion, in execution with the consumer at the fore-front, and in facilitating teaching and learning within the studio team as a whole. Adjacent to his work with SSENSE, David has become a driving voice within the emerging industry – with a portfolio ranging from E-commerce to commercial – from editorial to celebrity styling.
Among colleagues and peers, David is often described as synonymous with innovation and uniqueness, but also, for his resourcefulness, layered story-telling and ingenuity in problem-solving.
His recent notable work includes celebrity styling with author and curator Kimberly Drew for Architectural Digest, as well as lead director and head stylist for a major editorial in Lotion Magazine’s First Print Issue.
David Fontaine-Gingras is currently based in Montreal.
