Ashley Gesner

Born and raised in the pristine mountain range of Alberta, Ashley Gesner quickly discovered her passion for the arts. She studied ballet and piano before falling in love with fashion and design. Since beginning her career as a freelance artist and consultant in 2008, she has collaborated with top fashion and advertising photographers and clients, earning acclaim for her exceptional skills in makeup and hair.

Ashley’s educational journey includes specialized training at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, where she honed her expertise in hair design. Following her graduation, she spent over a decade in some of the most esteemed hair salons on the West Coast and worked extensively with MAC Pro team. Fluent in French, Ashley’s ability to communicate across cultures enhances her collaborative efforts.

With over a decade of international experience in the fashion industry, Ashley has evolved into a sought-after Key Artist, working with high-profile clients and luxury brands. Her time on film sets, along with her deep appreciation for landscapes and design, inspired her to delve into Environmental Design. She pursues academic studies in Architecture, Art History, Philosophy, Political Science, Communications, and Fine Arts, making her a well-rounded and dynamic presence on any creative team.

Ashley’s collaborative projects include impactful installations such as “Story of Our Ancestors” and “Tele Vision” for the cities of Vancouver and Richmond, British Columbia. As a passionate advocate for public land, she played a key role in the rezoning of 240 acres on Bowen Island, now a UNESCO Public Park.

Committed to advancing women’s rights, Ashley actively engages with organizations such as Building Equity for Women in Architecture (BEAT) and Because I’m A Girl. Her mission is to create a positive impact on the world by promoting sustainable living, connecting communities with nature, and using design as a vehicle for social change.
